Gouged paint in door ding

Gouged paint in door ding
It seems sometime in the past day or so, someone parked next to me put a small ding in my car, where the dent itself is minimal, but they gouged the paint! (I think it was the bottom corner of the door on a truck).
It's scratched about 2in long, in 2 separate, similar shaped scratches (door open and close).
It's not buffable as it is visibly gouged out to the metal. I'm wondering what steps I should take to possibly repair this? I was reading something about getting the touch up stuff, but finding out which product will match the paint perfectly (I do have a black car), and using a medical syringe instead of a brush to fill the gouge, letting it dry and buffing it so it is smooth.
Though I am going to have my car in the body shop next week to spot fix an area that was chewed up in the bumper (was there when I bought it), and are already gonna have paint mixed. How much extra do you think they'd charge spot fix the door?
Edit: Oh I just found this other thread, It seems to come out nice, though would it be more worthwhile to have it painted and cleared?
