scratch X.... few quick questions

So I have a few minor scratches on my trunk. I can't feel them with my nail so I am fairly confident that with a little elboe greese and some time I can get em out. I just have a few questions about Scratch X. I Washed/ clayed / waxed my car about 2 weeks ago. Should I strip the wax with a clay bar before using the scratchX ? or can I just use it right on top of the wax? To me it would make sence that I should get as low to the paint as possible before trying to poilish, but just wasnt sure. Also, since I dont have a porter cable (yet) I am planning on just doin it by hand with some microfiber applicator pads. I have heard NOT to go in circular motions, but rather a criss cross parrern.... true? not necessary? then lastly if I do remove the wax and re wax on top after I am done, how long after the scratch removal process should I wait before re waxing?

Thanx for helpin out a noob, Just wanna do it right and in the least aggressive manor possible. I appreciate any feedback.

just go at it over the wax, it will be stripped almost immediately. I like to use straight motions rather than circular but if the applicator and trunk are clean it shouldn't matter. Make sure you apply multiple times applying a lot of elbow grease. The abrasives break down and need to be reapplied to continue to bite into the scratches. You can wax right after

also, dont be afraid to apply a lot of weight. meguiars holds free detailing clinics, and you learn a lot.

its been said that for scratch x to be really effective, you have to apply so much weight that you pretty much shake the car. kind of hard to explain, but when you see a pro do it, the results make sense.
