How can i take off break dust grime from my stock wheels?? Help!

I have an 04 g35x that i picked up about a month ago, and it seems as if the previous owner didnt wash the wheels regularly. All wheels (especially the fronts) have what seems to be old brake dust grime that caked up in the corners. Any tips on how to take this off? It's bother the sh*t out of me, to the point where im about to blow $1000+ on a new set of wheels, but i prefer a stock ride, so i just want these to look clean! Thanks!!!

Try some wheel cleaner. I'd suggest P21S Wheel Gel, if that doesn't work use some Meguiars Wheel Brightener VERY VERY carefully. It's acidic so don't let it sit to long. That should take care of it. Happy detailing!

P21S wheel cleaner and Chemical Guys Wheel Gel cleaners are great. Spray them on and let the gel and suds soak in as you wash the car, come back for your final rinse and most of it, if not all of it will just rinse away. The CG stuff is more bang for your buck than the P21S.

P21S works great. Get a e-z detail, or daytona speed brush. Both are basically the same, but the daytona has a stronger base for scrubbing

if its really stuck on, try using eagle 1 A2Z wheel cleaner or Meguiars Hot Wheels. they are both acidic wheel cleaners. they should be fine to use on your stock clear coated wheels.

Try using a medium grade clay bar from Clay Magic... seems to work pretty well for my wheels and top it off with A2Z...

I haven't had much positive experience with the Hot Wheels.
