Car Cover
Has anyone went with a brand other than what the dealership offers? Looking to purchase one and was just wandering prior to buying.Any possible promo codes for Grubbs to get the current discount?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Car Cover
Gdupg35 has one, I believe. Pretty nice quality-- I'd use it.
That being said, we have an Infiniti one for our FX, and it's 100% perfect, right down to a plastic window for the license plate that's perfectly placed, etc. Much closer fit and finish than any aftermarket ones I've seen.

Re: Car Cover
I got it recently, and it's well worth it. As the other poster stated, perfect fit. Go to Freshalloy.com for a discount code.

Re: Car Cover
That's what I always wonder about....
There is always going to be a layer of dirt/dust/grit/contaminants on the paint, unless it's just been washed.
Long term storrage I understand, but I've seen guys with high end cars that have diven to work & then cover the car through the day.
IMHO It just doesn't seem like the best thing for the paint to sandwich that layer under a cover????

Re: Car Cover
Keep a Cali duster in your trunk. Dust off your car before putting on the cover, and you'll be helping out just that much more. Never let it touch the ground or let animals get on it. wipe it off after it rains. Don't put it on your car after it's rained. Also, this can be tricky, but try to fold it into itself so the outside part never touches an interior piece of cloth. Do those five things, and you will have significantly reduced the odds of getting scratches or swirls.

Re: Car Cover
My Infiniti car cover scratched my car right above the driver window. It's right where there is a seam on the inside of the cover. It was definitely not from dirt. Dealer replaced the part it scratched and refunded my money for the cover. It fits good and is lightweight but has no inner liner to cover the seams.
