I am looking for clear plastic floor mats that will fit reasonably well on our floorboards. Can anyone recommend a brand and model?

Reason being that I am a little neurotic and when I get into my car I don't mind my feet being dirty but when a passenger gets in there I have to fight the urge to tell 'em to make sure their feet are clean!

 

eldy... personally, i like the infiniti all-weather mats. it's too bad they only come in black and willow. if you're looking for clear, try something called "exact mats." PM our member <font color=blue>ABQ_G35</font color=blue> as he has these in his car and suggested them to the forum. good luck.

I have the Willow interior and someone gave me a set of black mats and they dont match. Have you seen what the willow mats look like with a willow interior? How closely do they match? Do they look alot worse than the normal carpeted mats?

I've got the willow all-weather mats and they look really good and fit perfectly.

I believe they were about $70... I can't remember. I hate dirt & stains on my mats, but I wanted to be able to still see the Infiniti mat. I have used cheapie clear mats for years & years (Walmart, Target brand). Finally I have some that are custom fit. I love them!!!

Do you find your car smelling like rubber after putting those in? That's what I'd be afraid of. I actually bought some cheap clear ones, but decided not to use them 'cuz of the smell.

They have a "new vinyl" smell at first, but it's not a rubber smell, they smell like "new car" actually, I have to agree with G35_Diva, these mats are great, they stay in place perfectly, they also come with a clip, but I have never had to use it!

LOL!!!! I know that FUNKY smell you're talking about with the cheap ones. I hated that!!!!! It took forever to wear off. The Exact Mats do not smell like that whatsoever. I love the little clip too. ABQ is right too. They definitely stay in place, with or without the clip. I highly, highly recommend them. My husband even ordered them for his Honda Pilot. They fit like a glove for his car too. We love them!!!

G35_Diva, yep these ExactMats are great, I like being able to see the factory mats, those cheap clear mats do smell weird, that's for sure, almost like a tire fire! LOL, maybe we could do a commercial for them!

abq recommended exact mats to me. i bought a set for my coupe for around 70 (minus the trunk) for the first day or two it'll smell like the plastic of the mats but it goes away after a while. i didn't mind it because i can still see my factory mats and are kept clean. rather be clean and smell than dirty and waste money. I went to Lowes or Home Depot and bought this stuff they use when construction workers are walking around on brand new carpet. It is like super thick saran wrap with an adheasive backing on it that sticks to the carpet but doen't leave a residue when removed. It's very cool and a whole roll of it, like 20 yards, is only a few bucks. Just put it on and trim it with scissors.
