I use ICE on my G35 Coupe

I've been using it for over a year now. It lasts close to 6 months but my car is garaged every night and does not see rough treatment at all. I like it because I can do the entire car in a little over an hour. I'm getting lazy, I guess. I especially like the interior treatment product. I doesn't shine up the dash and goes on real easy. I'm concerned that it is not the right product for my leather. That's why I was looking for other's experience on this product. So far, my seats are soft and look brand new. Or maybe, I'm just feeling guilty for not spending hours with cleaners and clay bars and sealants and waxes and....

I used liquid ICE 2 days ago on my truck. A small amount goes a long way. It felt strange going on, not like wax. I tried to find someone that actually had used it to see what their results were. I searched around on line, and got mixed feed back. So I decided to try for myself. Here is what I found:

goes on easy, quick compared to wax. I spent about 30-60 minutes to do whole truck and I am slow and detail oriented. Looks great, shiny, smooth to touch. No white wax residue around emblems, door handles, window washer nozzles etc... This is always the pain with real wax, NuFinish etc... Also it does not seem to turn seals white. I used it on my black plastic mirrors too with ok results.

To be fair, I have only had it on for 2 days. So I cant speak to its durability. But I think general rule of thumb for wax applies: The easier it goes on, the easier it comes off! Although I believe Ice has silicone in it which can be difficult to get off painted surfaces. Also, I have no idea whether it provides any protection for paint against things like bird poop etc...

Bottom line is if you have limited time, hate white wax residue getting on your black seals and caught in every stone ship in your dark paint job, ICE seems to do the trick. It looks good, doesn't take long, and no trying to remove white residue. As a result, I will likely use it more frequently than wax.

I'll post again if I notice any ill effects as time passes. I keep my truck garaged btw.

Good Luck!

i like turtle wax ice polish. Ive been using it for a while now. I like how its basically baby oil. Goes on fast and easy and is safe for plastics. It has that back to black effect. Definately not bad for between real polish/wax sessions.

What kind of car are you waxing? A Hot Wheels?

If you really can, you need to make a Youtube video to show how it's done.

LOL that was pretty funny.

BTW, my truck still looks sweet! I do keep it garaged, it hasn't seen rain yet, just a brief sprinkle and.... I have been driving my G lately!

I'll try ICE on my G next, once things settle down at the home front...lots of visitors and visiting going on, it may not be until end of July now that I think about it.

Hopefully everyone is enjoying their summer
