Help With Paint Problem
One of my cars (not the G!) got egged by some POS. I didn't notice it for several days and the egg has been baked by the sun. I've tried cleaners, solvents and a lot of elbow grease, but I can't get the crap off. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I think you're screwed. It happened to my friend's car and he even washed it within a few hours after it happened........needles to say, it was already too late and the whole car needed to be repainted. I doubt you can do anything, but find WIL on this site and he can give ya the best advice.

thanks for the reference Diesel1. Actually a lot of stuff that is usually harmless to paint, but left under the sun on the paint surface can easily etch into our beautiful cars. Something as simple chemical treated water from public sprinkler systems can create some pretty nasty stains if left to dry under the sun for an hr or two.
Just be careful guys. If you see bird crap on your car remove it right away........under normal weather conditions, the sun can bake whatever's on the surface of the vehicle right into the paint.
Unfortunately, in many of these instances, it is already too late. With our hectic schedules & lifestyles, our cars can easily be left out on the street for several hrs under the sun.
What I recommend for everyone is to maintain your cars regularly. Sealant is the strongest chemical for our paint and offers excellent chemcial resistance. However, it doesn't mean, you could just leave chemical substance on the paint surface and expect it not to damage the paint. Generally paint sealant offers up to 6 months of protection..............actually, in our environment, you should apply a coat every 2 months. How often one should protect the vehicle w/ a sealant of some sort really depends on the area you live in.........so take that into consideration.
