How long should I wait between my application of z-5 and z-2 coats, I mixed them with the ZFX, and am using z-6 inbetween my coat of z-5 and z-2. But it says allow a time for the waxes to "cure" I live in 85 degree weather in miami with 100% humidity... suggestions??

If you used the ZFX, that is supposed to cure the polish. I believe the sole purpose of ZFX was to do multiple coats in a single day. You may want to email Sal Zaino your question, he usually gets back fairly quickly. My guess is right after you remove the Z5 you can put on a coat of Z2. At least that's what I did.

I just used it for the first time. Mixed up 1 oz of Z2 with 4 drops of ZFX. Did 2 coats with the one oz and it only took about 30 minutes max to dry.

 

The zaino website says to wait at least 6 hours between applications of z2. Is that really necessary? If that was the case you probably couldn't do more than 1-2 coats in a day. I thought that once it dried and you buffed it off, you could apply another coat (after your z6 application). What has everybody else been doing?

 

You only have to wait if you don't use the ZFX. If you use the ZFX you can do additional coats one after the other without waiting.
