Tuition Detail: 04 G35x
Ok, so I went to a detailing meet awhile ago and met a couple cool guys. Since it didn't focus on polishing, I had one of the guys contact me about learning how to polish and various aspects of detailing, he was brand new to it but very interested in learning how to do it. So we finally met, and used his G35 as the test mule, he already had all of the tools including a Makita.
He had had the car "detailed" which means absolutely nothing. I have no idea what the previous detailer did, but apparently it was next to nothing, it was intense enough to leave holograms but still not aggressive enough to even diminish the RIDS :shead:
First off, I'm really sorry about the pictures. I didn't take many because I was getting pissed off that the panel looked perfect after I polished it, but the flash seemed to be making fake holograms. Figured it out later, I smudged the lens with my finger
Combo was meant to remove RIDS:
Tools:
Makita 9227/ Various backing plates
Uber Yellow/Menzerna Powergloss
Uber Blue/ 50/50 Menz. 106FA/PO85RD
IPA wipedown after every section
Before, damage was much worse:

Some Deep RIDS at the top:

During, we tried to take off the spoiler, but you can see how that worked out:

And this is how we kept our extension cords in place, bottom one kept falling out:

Afters:

Mike working:

And the results:

My side:

Sorry, no full car shots it was too dark out, but Mike did an awesome job :mounty: Maybe he can provide some full-car shots soon :thumb: Anyway, here's the last pic of Mike polishing out some of the hood, a great day overall :mounty:

KwickG35, I was actually the one doing the instructing ha. The car belongs to MAXSE2kMT on this forum. Thanks for the compliment though!
