Protecting my chrome wheels...what to use?
I just bought a set Work Varianza T1S Black Chrome wheels for my G. I'm wanting to keep them protected from brake dust and whatever else might stain them without taking away from their gorgeous shine. I just ordered some Chemical Guys Wheel Guard Wheel Wax, has anybody used this product before? I'm curious what every body else is using on there wheels.
Any wheel wax will be fine. I use Poorboy's Wheel Sealant, it keeps them slightly cleaner. Be warned though, there is no miracle wheel wax, they will still get dirty, most of the brake dust is still gonna build up almost as bad as it did before. However, they will be much easier to clean. Just clean them weekly with a car wash soap and water, I personally use a soft sponge and a long brush to get the inner barrels.
BTW, waxing them won't take away for the shine, it will enhance it. Here's a quick shot of some chrome wheels with a couple coats of Poorboy's Wheel Sealant on a car that I detailed.

That chrome wheel looks sharp, nice work!
George
Thanks for the info guys, thats pretty helpful. Ill try my chemical guy stuff and if I think it doesn't do good enough job I will try the poorboy's sealant. Thanks for the compliment on the wheels.
