Anbuzero Detailed: 2010 C300 Sport

This is my cousin's brand new 2010 Mercedes Benz C300 Sport. I actually went with her to pickup the car and the paint didnt look bad at all. So i told her to swing by one morning and i would baptize the new car with a proper wash and wax.

So everything started well. I foamed up the car with some maxi suds to lift some dirt and the usual. I then hand washed the car with CG CWC to get rid of any sealant or wax the dealership could have used. This is where my whole day was just crushed. WARNING the defects seen below are unacceptable on a benz. I took pictures of only some parts of the car.

Also sorry for the lack of pictures my camera's card got messed up somehow and some pictures were corrupted, these are the ones i managed to save.

Gilmour Foam Gun
CG Maxi Suds
Megs #62

Paint Correction:
PC 7424 XP
LC Orange Pad
SIP

Trim:
P21S Finish Restorer
Black Wow

Glass:
CG Window Clean

Wheels:
P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner
Wheel Brush
EZ Detail Brush
CG Silk and Shine

LSP:
Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub

Tools:
Costco MF towels
DD Uber MF Towels
CG MF towels
Sony Cyber Shot 7.2mp
Goggles/Protective Eyewear
Nitrile Gloves

Before Wash:

This picture was almost not saved :/

Wheels had a bit of brakedust on thm

road grime

now for the defects in the paint and the dealerships sad attempt to correct it

heavy water marks

and some more of my favorite defects, did they try to sand it???

similar ones on the roof of the car

under the halogens

nice RID

corrected

scratches around the defective area corrected

More horrible scratches on the trunk of the car and under the tailights

All these were improved but some deep scratches remained to be corrected at a later date
exhausts polished with P21S Finish Restorer

the following pictures are after Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub was applied:

this was a nice shot but the lighting ruined it and I had taken another one with better lighting but it was one of the few corrupted files :sorry:

Only some parts of the trunk and back bumper had paint correction done as my cousin had to be somewhere. We agreed I would have to work on the car at a later date with more time to correct all the damage. I suspect the dealership used some type of glaze on the car as I didnt see the scratches or defects on the day of delivery (also it was rainy) After pulling the car out and taking pictures I realized the hood had buffer trails and swirl marks from the dealership
I was so upset when i saw this. I think seeing that ruined the whole detail for me.
but anyways life goes on ill fix all of that some other day. for now enjoy the sleekness and wet look from the Rainforest Rub
as always any and all comments are welcome

It wasnt corrected because it couldnt be? Can the swirl haze effect be irreversable? reason why I am asking is that I had some minor scratches on the rear bumper due backing into something. I took the car to my local detailer, he used a buffer to get the scratch out. Most of the scratch came off, but now under certain lighting conditions, i can see te swirl hazing from the buffer. my car is black.

No it can be be corrected. swirls are correctable with polishes and proper buffing. i do perform that service but the reason i didnt on my cousin's car was that she had to go somewhere so i didnt have enough time to correct more than the trunk.

the swirls and hazing you see on your bumper is from improper buffing. After proper polishing the results should look like this

there are no swirls or other scratches present
in the picture below you can see the clarity and the absence of swirls and hazing on the top part of the trunk. then look at the bumper right under the tail light and you can see the swirls and hazing left by the dealership.

I noticed your signature states you are in Nothern Jersey. I live in Staten Island which isnt far from you. If you are willing (for $$ of course) can you correct the issue for me? I went back to the guy and he wasnt able to fix my hazing problem. Please let me know or email me at maybinder@si.rr.com

Thank you in advance.
