this thread really makes me want to buy a package from detailed image...
considering this:

do you remember how much you paid all in for your pads/polishes? my paint isn't as bad as yours but it's starting to show some swirls in direct sunlight..

Thank you for checking out www.DetailedImage.com. I like the kit you linked, if you want to save some money this kit may suit your needs better:

The car came out great but my honest opinion is that you did NOT need to go as aggressive as you did. Menzerna Power Gloss is a pretty aggressive compound, especially to then follow it up with IP and then Final Polish, that's a LOT of polishing. With detailing it's ALWAYS best to start with the least aggressive method first and work your way up as needed. I've been detailing for some time now and if I was doing this car, I would have went with a LC Orange pad DI pads are solid too) and SIP and then followed it up with 106ff if needed. The less cutting into the clear the better assuming what you're doing is working. Plus this will save you a lot of extra time too. Here's an example of a 350Z I detailed that I think was even worse than your G https://g35driver.com/forums/care-de...d-up-350z.html all I used was sip and 106ff and the finish was FLAWLESS. So again, not that you did a bad job because the car does look great, I just think you could have gotten the same great results with a much less aggressive route which in the long run will be better for your paint.
