Help with 4" Lake Country orange pad difference [PICS]

I bought some 4" LC orange pads from Detailed Image and Autogeek.

The one from DI is on the left, and AG on the right.

My question is, why is the thickness different?

And on the AG pad, why is the velcro black and "added on," while the DI pad seems integrated?

What seems better to use, or are they both equivalent? Thanks

Chances are they are the same orange LC foam, it's really a matter of preference. I prefer a little extra cushioning around my pads, especially as you begin to angle the buffer. It gives you a little extra protection on the sides of the pad, so you aren't grinding your backing plate against the paint or whatever.

They should perform very similar, like I said, just a preference thing.

Hope that helps.
