On my sedan I have 2 chips in the paint. Both on the passenger side pillar. Both these chips are down to the metal and show that yellow rust color. My question is, is it okay to just do the plastic toothpick/touch up paint technique after a wash? Or since it shows that rust color would it need to be sanded down to get rid of that yellowness so the rust doesn't spread. When I bought the car from the dealer I told the dude, and he said it wont rust. Or option 2. Since the car has swirling going on I was going to get it detailed, so should i wait and have the detailer do it if they even do. Thanks!
