The Ultimate Question - Zaino or Crystal Guard?

Okay Folks,

I was all set to get Zaino for my Brilliant Silver Coupe. But now I see all these infomercial-style posts about CG. So for those of you who have tried both, which is better in shine and durability?

Please, if you've only used one, don't reply - I'm looking for a real comparison, not a sales pitch.

Cheers!

Chaster

I think you should just stick to the one that has the better reputation. ZAINO.
I am not doubting the performance of CG, but if you KNOW ZAINO is excellent why not use ZAINO till CG has been really tested (Long-Term Effects)

I'm in the exact same boat.. zaino or crystal guard. CG sounds like it would be a lot less work an hassle. Anyone out there try both zaino and CG..? Pesti?

Can any zaino experts give an idea of cost per application, and frequency of applications?

I haven't bought EITHER product, so I can't say I "know" zaino is better... I'm simply trying to make the best choice I can, that's all.. <shrug>

I believe Zaino is THE Benchmark.
But CG could be better.
What I'm saying is... you cant go wrong with Zaino. Its Tried Tested and True. (Eww i sound like a GM commercial)

Re: The Ultimate Question - Zaino or Crystal Guard?

it would be hard for me to do a perfectly fair comparison of zaino and cg because of cg's unique application process... If i can get my hands on some zaino I'll let ya know... I'll probably leave the rear bumper untreated and try to do a direct comparison that way, but again, it's hard to do a double blind test under exact same conditions, cuz they call for different process and conditions.

Re: The Ultimate Question - Zaino or Crystal Guard?

I just applied some CG today on my corolla.....man, it was quick and it didnt seem to shine all that much.....that is....until 8 hours later i open the garage and GOD DAM MY CAR IS SHINY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now the only thing i am worried about is How long will CG last? This has yet to be tested, but i will keep everyone updated (i live in michigan- crappy weather and lots of rain coming soon)

Note though, DO NOT buy the Microfiber cloth from CG, just go to your local store (Meijers) and pick up some microfiber cloth.....i got some TurtleWax brand, 3 large sheets for $6...

As far as Zaino goes.....i've heard that Klasse is pretty dam good, in addition to protecting and shining, it has anti-static properties meaning it will repel dust and loose dirt, whereas Zaino likes to pickup dust more than normal.
