I have a black G that has some swirl marks with only 1500 miles(not too noticible). I want to use the 3m swirl remover basically on the whole car. I will be doing it by hand since it gives more control/no experience with buffer. Two coats of CG quick have been applied since i got it. Also i did not remove the factory wax. Do i have to dawn the car before i use the swirl remover? Also i will clay bar and start with a fresh coat of cg after the above.

 

you should clay bar *first*, but yes SMR will remove everything.

 

wash it with mothers california gold wash and use a mother california gold clay bar next. After that, use the swirl remover and lastly, wax the car with carnuba wax that comes with the mothers claybar. That's what I did and I have NO swirls and an insanly deep shine. My shine is nicer than my friends black Civic and he CG's it every month or so and my G is 2 years old.

A detailer friend of mind sent a kit for my Black car, for me to try. I had some swirl marks and light scratches.
I have tried a lot of products in the past....but this combo worked GREAT! It is not the same as the cheap black colored Turtle wax stuff.
