Water Spots!

I have some hard water spots from sprinklers on my hood. I can't to freaking remove them after washing. Anyone have any recommendations?

Re: Water Spots!

How long were they there? I found some on mine last week, most came off with no problem, but some I used the clay bar on, got rid of them!

Re: Water Spots!

Klasse All-In-One (AIO) synthetic wax removed those nasty hard water spots and most of the swirl marks for me (btw - I tried several products and nothing worked until the Klasse AIO synthetic wax which also removes old wax and works great as a base coat). Then, after 12 hours, I applied Pinnacle Liquid Souveran carnuba wax on top. Many people including myself swear by the Klasse AIO/Pinancle Souveran combo now. ;-)

Re: Water Spots!

What do you have on your garage floor, a mat of some kind?

Re: Water Spots!

If they are relatively fresh, a mixture of vinegar and water is the cheapest method.

Re: Water Spots!

thruway's vinegar and water is one method, the other i have used, and prefer, is to leave it out in two good hard rains that last for a while.

Re: Water Spots!

well, can't help you there... but here in florida we have had an average of an inch per day of rainfall over the last 2 months so not a problem.

Re: Water Spots!

You should pick up an orbital polisher and apply wax or sealant w/ it after cleaning the surface. This usually does the job.
