Cleaning Engine Bay?
So I have a Question...looking on way to clean my engine bay cuz it looks like ares....dirt to oil to (im pretty sure it a part of some kinda animal)
anyway I have heard that you can't clean it while it hot and can't get things too wet????
I just wanna know how some of the org guys clean their bays and what do you use; degreaser, dawn, etc...
-Thanks Tori

I just use scentless baby wipes from Target. You can get like 300 of them for $7. I'm not sure if they would work on a dirty engine bay, most likely not, but as far as upkeeping an already clean engine bay, save your money from expensive detailing supplies and just use baby wipes.
That VTEC badge is sparkiling!
I just grab a rag from my "Rag Bag" and my Adams detail spray, after everything is clean I polish with Zymol liquid cleaner wax....looks better than factory new. Don't forget the underside of the hood, that looks great cleaned and polished too....

This may not be the correct approach, but I use Simple Green to clean it. The first time I did this I went straight concentrate since I was going to be cleaning and waxing the entire car and the engine was nasty. I was careful to only spray the engine bay as I wasn't sure if it would ruin the paint (don't think it would do anything aside from stripe wax). Now for touch up I mix Simple Green down to 50/50 for heavy soil. Every other time I just rinse lightly with soft water and hand wipe.
