Tire Shine problems

lame I know....I have tried 3 types of tire shine and it always flicks off and leaves black spots along the side of the bumpers and door. Even the side mirrors. I have even let it sit overnight to fully dry but it always seems to come off. I know the offsets only contribute to it (+15 and +18) but what gives?

Are you conservative with it or do you use it sparingly? It's a bottle sprayer right?

I use armor all tire shine, no issues at all, love it. Shine also last pretty long. Used to use meguires, this stuff would wind up all over the car.

I use Black Magic tire foam. Looks great & last pretty long. Don't over-spray and let it dry for an hour or two. Or you could use one of those sponge applicators.

All you have to do to prevent this is take a crap microfiber or rag and buff off the excess after a little while.

be sure your tires are as clean as they can get so the tire shine will have a good surface to adhere to.

You want a water based dressing that dries to the touch. Surf City Beyond Black, Adams VRT, Chemical Guys VRP, etc. all do this.

I've only had problems with slinging if I drove the car right after I sprayed my tire shine. As long as I give it an hr or 2 to let the stuff dry, I never had issues.

Maybe you are just using too much of it. Just spray it lightly. It should run/smear and apply evenly.

Meguiars endurance tire gel. Lasts long and applies very easily. To prevent sling, wipe off excess gel with the towel or MF.
