Help me please. Bugs and inside glass cleaning.
Ok, I didn't mean bugs on the inside of my glass but I meant dead, dried, old (left for quite a few hot days) bugs splattered onto my front bumper, headlights, hood. And also how to clean the inside of my windshield.
Ok first off how do I get rid of dried on and literally cooked on bugs from my bumper and etc. I've got the Bug and Tar remover but I believe I was too late in trying to clean them off. They won't budge so I'm really sad. Could I use Claybar and eventually get most of it out? For a last resort I'll eventually get it repainted if they do not come out.
Next topic: Cleaning the inside of my windshield. I don't let anybody touch the inside of the windshield because I hate the smear it leaves behind from peoples oil or etc. But sadly I somehow have that smear or whatever it is on the inside. It's annoying because driving towards the sun particularly in the morning I can see all the smears and whatnot more than I can see the road. I've tried to wipe it with a wet cloth/papertowel but no luck. It's just worse. I might use Windex or something like that but I'm just wondering wheter it is safe or not. I believe there is no special film that I might damage if I apply windex to my inside windshield correct?
So please help me out guys and give me heads up on how to resolve my issues. Thx

This should help: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/how-to.html
After you get the bugs off, I'd polish/wax with Klasse AIO. For the windows, try Sprayway #50 or Stoners.

Bugs can actually damage the paint if left on baking in the sun. You could try using the bug / tar remover first. If this doesn't work, go to claying. And if this fails, buffing it may do the job. After this step and there is still a stain, then you will have to do a multi-cutting process along w/ wet-sanding........quite a lot of work, especially if you've never done this before. Might be a good idea to take it to a pro detailer.

Re: Help me please. Bugs and inside glass cleaning.
About 15 years ago I had a white civic that I got plaster with bug on a run from RI to VA and back. After I 'cleaned' the front of the car there were all sorts of stains... After trying just about everything I sort of gave up. A year later, they were almost all gone, bleached away by the sun and the chemical cocktail I threw at it over the year. Now I make sure the bug guts get cleaned off right away, and I keep my clear bras waxed (makes it a lot easier)
Bottom line, some bug guts are mass weapons of destruction!

I got the nose-mask for long road trips to help abate it as much as possible. Other than that, I use a bug and tar remover right away when I see a problem, then clean it with distilled water and Z6.
Since I've been in the desert, I've not had too many bug problems, but in Indy I kept a coat of CG on my car at all times, which made bugs just sliiide off. An ounce of prevention...
and I still heart Stoners for any glass needs.

Re: Help me please. Bugs and inside glass cleaning.
If you have tints... DO NOT USE WINDEX!! The ammonia in that will eat away at the glue/tints.
You can go out and buy all kinds of supposed "magical" glass cleaner products....
What I find works best for the insides (since I have tints) is just simple soap/water and a microfiber towel. Use a 2nd "dry" microfiber to get rid of streaks for the wipe down... you'll be amazed at the results. I always keeps a small microfiber in the car to get the annoying grease/oil in the interiors.

Definitely Sprayway inside and outside. Works great on tinted windows since it doesn't contain ammonia. Windex is okay for outside but I've noticed it tends to streak.

Re: Help me please. Bugs and inside glass cleaning.
Invisible Glass by Stoner is the right choice. Alot of other glass cleaners use soaps that will leave residue while we us Isopropanol and pure spring water that is also filtered to insure its pureness. The result is Invisible Glass!!! For the inside use a lint free rag and do not use fabric softner or dryer sheets when you dry them. The newspaper thing also works but I find that to be a pain in the a$$!
