Hello all, I just purchased a silver/willow G35 04 coupe 6M slightly used. The titanium dash on the middle console has a 2 inch size gash on it next to the stick shift. It really bothers me. Has anyone had any luck getting Infiniti to replace a section of the titanium dash under warranty as it scratches quite easily. If not, what other options do I have? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

 

Doubtful they'll replace. This common complaint is one reason the 05's have brushed aluminum vice titanium painted plastic. You may find one on ebay; I got a spare there for 5AT.

 

I got mine replaced by the dealer.. coz they scratch the console when I serviced the car.

This is going to shock the crap of you but to replace it its ten bucks! Yes ten bucks. I ordered two and the both came with the leather boots!

Awesome prices. That console is cheap in price and quality. At least it is a cheap fix. Good news for the 05's with the aluminum interior. I wonder if I could replace my 04 plastic titanium with the new 05 aluminum? anyone tried this?

Could someone post some instructions for a do it yourself replace of the titanium center console on a 6M coupe? (remove shifter etc...)

 

grubbs charged $140.00 for the titanium consule around the radio and a/c, I dont know how that bottom piece is only $15.00

 

Yeah i was in shock when I got them. I went to my local dealer and told them. He looked it up and sure enough it was he same price! He was in shock! But he said he thought the shift boot didnt come with it. But the ones I ordered came with them.

Ditto here, I need a DIY guide to replace the small console piece around the stick on a 6M.

 

Take a small flathead screwdriver and either tape it or wrap it in a some kind of cloth. There's a little slot on the back end where it meets the willow/graphite part of the center console. Pry upward and pull it straight up. It only snaps in, no fasteners.
