Yellow discoloration after side molding removal

As the title states. Last week I removed the emblems from the trunk with no problems and all it left was a very light ghosting effect and unnoticeable unless from a certain angle. Yesterday I removed the side moldings from the driver door and after cleaning and all the paint is slightly discolored yellow.

I cleaned the whole area with goo gone so its smooth but the yellowing still shows. Its a 06 IP coupe and I recently got it so I'm not sure how the car was stored. I'm really gonna try to clean it on my day off

Any solutions on how to remove it? I'm at work right now so I'll post pics when I get home.

It looks a lot better without the moldings but sucks if its the paints different.

Try a clay bar.

I'll make it easy for you, you'll never get rid of the shadows by hand. Run your car by a quality staffed car wash where they do detail work. Ask them to hit those areas with a high speed buffer/cleaner, that's a sure way to remove the shadows. Cost shouldn't be over $20 and you'll be happy with the results.
