LR Coupe Detail

Just did a detail on the G. For nearly 95k, she didn't clean up bad. After getting the mechanical bits sorted out, it was time for shining it up.

Process:

Wash with Meg's 2 bucket method
Sonus Green Clay
Menzerna Intensive Polish x1 (x2 on back bumper, trunklid)
Menzerna Final Polish II x1
Klasse AIO x2

Odds and Ends:

Wheels were polished using Klasse AIO, as were the windows.
Tips got Turlte Wax chrome and 0000 SS wool on the insides.
Plastics got Sonus Total Eclipse.
Tires were Mother's FX Tire Shine
Chips filled with Dr. Color Chip.

Time: ~20 hrs.

Will be topping with Chemical Guys Butter Wet when it comes in the mail.

Not sure what to do about wheels, I think I will leave them as-is. They all have varying degrees of curb rash, but since this is a semi-DD I'm thinking it will stay this way.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I don't have any befores, but this car was a wreck when I bought it back in Dec. A real fixxer upper. Oxidation on the hood and trunk, paint chips everywhere. It was too cold to do a "good" detail in the winter so I just did a quickie polish and called it a day to fix the oxidation. Really, this was the second time it was polished (and probably ever).

IP is an awesome color. The key to make white pop is contrast. Make sure your wheels wells and tires are dressed, for example and all the trim is dressed. Funny, I wanted an IP coupe at first. It's a grass is greener thing for me.

If you guys aren't already familiar with detailing check out our site sponsor (I am not a site sponsor, or afiliated with detailer's domain) they have great products to make your car look great. Anyone can get these results. Phil's sig also has 10% off for being a forum member and they have flat rate shipping (one of the lowest I have seen from all the suppliers I've seen thus far).
