Clean Machines KC: 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

So in hopes to make a lil income on the side, I have started to do a few details in my area. Sadly, I have no buffer or any cool tools ya'll have so I'm doing everything by hand for the moment. Plan is to make enough profit doing these to reinvest into the "company" so to speak so I can get buffers and pads and glazes. You just can't get the swirls completely out by hand, trust me I tried.

Anyway, today I detailed inside and out a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, which, I don't think has ever seen a coat of wax. Definately not since 06 at least as the owner said he had never waxed it in the time hes owned it.

Products I used:
Mothers Clay Bar
Meguiar's Polishing Compound (Chore to get off)
Meguiar's Gold Class Paste
Coverall for the Tires and fender lining (Local product, no sling and lasts forever)
About a Million Microfiber Towels
Meguiar's Leather Restorer

As you can see, I'm still a newb in this business, but you have to make do with what ya got til you can afford bigger and better.

Here are a few pictures as the truck was delivered to me this morning:

Post wash revealed the following, I warn you, hide your eyes

Didn't take many shots during the process, although I did manage a couple 50/50 shots from the hood and fender.

And lastly some final shots

Overall a decent day. The client liked my work so much he asked for me to do his wife's car next week. I know its far from the quality of some of the other detailers on here, but with time and perseverence I hope to be there soon. Thanks for looking.

For polishing by hand, you did a great job. Did your arm fall off?
