Turtle Wax Black Box!

Picked up a Turtle Wax Black Box at Autozone for like 21 bucks. Kit includes black polish, black wax, 2 bottles of black detailer spray, and 2 applicators. 6 hours and some elbow grease and this was the outcome!

Don't let your eyes fool you... The Black Box Kit is like Spray Tan for skin. It gives the appearance of what is not really there.

The best waxes in the industry are pure white carnauba wax made from all natural carnauba with no additives or enhancers.

All that really matters is that you like the outcome, but the pigmented wax is just a cover up.

black car at night not a good way to show off a detail

additives are great if you dont have the best paint, but it should be polished anyway

It's an OTC product that can be found at Walmart... There are VERY few OTC detailing products that provide quality/lasting results.

I bought it for ***** and giggles to practice on my dad's black Silverado and although it looks good initially, all it did was fill in the scratches and after a couple washes, bam, they are all back.

It isn't a very good product. Not something i'd personally recommend but as long as your happy, then thats all that matters!

Sorry, but that wax has the shortest life of any wax I've ever used. I looks great for maybe a week then the dyes fade and water doesn't repel at all. Not worth the time it took to do.

Your car looks great! I use the same stuff. It covers up the scratches very well but it does not last as long as I would like. Then again, my car sits outside. Can't go wrong for the price.

Not totally true. Even high end waxes have some additives as there's no such thing as a "pure carnauba waxes." Pure carnauba is hard as a rock and some oils and what not have to be added to make it spreadable so a LOT of this "pure white carnauba" is marketing hype. Why do you think some waxes sell for over $1000 a container? Pure marketing because it's still a wax and it's going to wear off your paint as easily as a $40 wax. Wax means NOTHING unless the paints surface is prepped correctly, i.e. claying and polishing. 95% of how a car looks when you're done detailing it has to do with how the paint was prepped.

my car after using wolfgang 3.0 system. this picture was taken at probably 3:30. no swirls, and black pops out like none other. in person it looks better and it creates kind of a black chrome look.
