De-Badging

De-Badging

Anyone have any suggestions on how to take off the badges that say infiniti and/or G35???

Yes, the search button is your best friend.

But since you only have 20 posts..

1) Heat the emblems with a hair dryer for a good 5-10 minutes
2) Use dental floss and slide the thread behind the emblems and yank them off slowly and carefully
3) Clean up any left residue with "Goo Gone" available at Home depot and/or Lowe's.

Yes, definately clean up the area after working on it. Oh, and you should wax your trunk lid after as well for a smooth and clean surface =)

and if you do something stupid like me (kick and scrape the emblem all over the driveway), they may charge you a small fee to stick a new one on, or buy new ones and stick em on yourself... max $50 I'd guess... still expensive, but not a killer.

thats rediculous, would they really charge you? i saw a few at the dealership while i was there that were already de-badged

yeah they probably wouldn't.. i'm just giving a worst case scenario, to help drewzer make the jump towards debadging.

thanks for the advice, i don't really care what they would say it would just be a pain in the *** for me to have to line up the i n f i n i t i if i had to put it back on, the money they charge me wouldn't be a huge deal though, i'm probably going to de-badge later this week
