buy the following:

any autowash soap
cotton washing mit
microfiber / terrycloth towels
mother's clay bar
zymol auto polish (blue opaque stuff)
wheel scrubber (or you can use a toothbrush)
cotton applicator pads for the polish

it should all run you less than $50 ... more like $40.

just take that puppy to the Car Wash! That will run you way less! And, you are helping the economy.

If you value your car then don't ever take it to the car wash...Screw the economy, what exactly has it done for you lately? lol, I say take joeyjojoe's advice and pick up some of the stuff he mentioned...With 50 bucks I'd pick up a 6 pack of Microfiber drying towels ($5 from target, walmart) a sheep skin or microfiber washing mit ($10 from target, walmart) EagleOne or Mothers Gold car wash soap ($5 from target, walmart, or an autostore) EagleOne Nanowax it comes with 2 applicators ($15-20 from target, walmart, or autostore) That should put you at $40 I'd take the remaining $10 and buy a claybar, and a 2 buckets...Or you could always just save up another $25 and get yourself one of the nice starter kits from www.griotsgarage.com or a zaino starter kit...G'luck

Remember search engine is your friend and you generally get what you pay for.

Start saving up for some Zaino... once you go that path, you won't go back. Sure you can get a good shine with meguire's, zymol, or mothers, but my own opinion is that zaino will give you the best shine with the least amount of work, and will last longer. In addition I have never had problems with zaino messing up black rubber.

You really get what you pay for. I will never let another non microfiber towel touch any of my cars.
