Another headlight restoration thread

this time i use a different sealant.
mineral spirit and helmsman clear gloss spar urethane

no buffing here. just by hand.

tested on my dad's tacoma

looks good? but almost there..

again, no buffing here

edit: has been almost 2 month and still looking like this!
no fading or turning foggy.

I've heard about using the spar urethane before to permanently seal the headlights. Now that I was about to spruce up the headlights on the g35, I see that it's no longer sold in California.

^^ how is it not sold in california?
you can get this stuff at your local home depot/lowes stores

After doing some more research, it seems that there is a low VOC "volatile organic compound" version made just for CA afterall. The regular spar urethane labeled 350 VOC is not for sale in CA.

i don't see why you can't order one online?
no tax, which would pay for the shipping
