New wax recommendation?
New wax recommendation?
I am about out of wax and can't decide what to get next for my new G. I have had black cars for the last few years and have used Meguiars NXT happily. I like the results and the ease of use. I was not too fond of the durability, but I like waxing regularly anyways so it wasn't that big of a deal. Now I have a Serengeti Sand G and am wondering if their is something that will help my light colored car better. I was thinking of trying the Meguiars ultimate wax because its easy to get and have read good reviews, or maybe some Poorboys or CG but can't decide since its been ahwile since I have had a lighter colored car.

I use NXT Tech 2.0 myself, but it only lasts about a month or two I think. Collinute 845 is supposed to work about 6 months, but it doesn't shine like NXT. You can use both though, but I'm not sure it would last any longer than the NXT.
Its hard to beat Meguiars for the price. I have Poorboys Exp Sealant/with wax. Its great for durability, but it doesn't seem to have the same wet look or super slick feel like a few coats of NXT, but even the NXT doesn't seem to stand out as much on my light car as it did on the black cars.
I am a die hard Meguiars fan, I used all their OTC products. I also used NXT 2.0 on my car as well. But it was defiantly lacking durability.
Check into Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant
I applied it in Early may for Zdayz and it is still beading in Aug.
I have a Black car and the paint nearly hits boiling in the sun. (Miami,FL)

Meguiars is pretty good for the money, and it's readily available in a lot of retail locations.

I have an IP G, Nighthawk Black Pearl TL, and Graphite TL. Just used Blackfire on all 3 and they look great. On the IP and Graphite, I did add a coat of NXT on top just for a little more depth. But haven't touched the G in about 5 months and water still beads
Thanks all. For those recommending sealants, do they provide better shine and final look then waxes? I thought I was happy with my poorboys sealant so I was just looking for a better wax for the final show, but if some of these other/better sealants do a great job for presentation without a wax, then maybe I'll have to give them a try.

Only stipulation is that you can't apply over a wax, you have to strip the paint with a dawn wash first.
Ok Thanks
