meguiars quick detail spray question
meguiars quick detail spray question
i wanted to make sure with you guys b4 i go ahead with this... can you let me know if this is safe for a black g35...
I washed my car like a couple weeks ago, and i got bird droppings on it today, is it safe to get it off with quick detail spray? or will it harm my paint? Please help...
Also is it okay to apply wax over a car that has been quick detailed? Or do I have to remove that 1st prior to waxing? I was hoping I can just wax over it? I am using meguiars NEXT wax by the way...
Also is it okay to wax over a previous car that has been wax or do I have to dawn wash it 1st and then wax it again?
One more thing... lets say I washed my car, and wait a few days later to apply wax, is this a no-no, or should I only wax right after I washed the car?

I use it all the time, just make sure you have a clean soft cloth to wipe it up and turn it frequently so you don't scratch the paint. For droppings, I usually spray it on and let it soak for a few seconds to soften it up and then wipe.
you can use the detail spray and wax they work together.
only wax a freshly washed car, dust will start to settle and after a day or two it can scratch your paint.

Make sure you prep the car by claying, polishing, and then you can wax. If you skip these steps your car is going to look like **** over time, especially a black car. You owe it to yourself to keep the car looking clean and brilliant.
oh, by the way since you have a new car, before you spend anytime waxing, have you considered using Zaino instead? I use it on my twilight blue which is dang close to black and have been pleased with the results.
I used meguiars quick detail spray on a previous black vehicle of mine. Did a fantastic job (only used it after wash) but on a black car, if you don't "buff" it all off, you'll see an ugly haze. Just don't use to much! One or two sprays per panel is a gracious plenty. Good Luck!
I like One Grand SHOW-OFF Spray Gloss. Use it anytime, and for birds**t, yeah.. let it soak a little first.
Most importantly, unless you use a cleaner wax like Zymol One Step Cleaner Wax, you need to clean the surface first if not clay bar then clean before you wax
Most waxes (even the best) are designed to just protect the condition of your finish. They do not give your finish a deep shine. Especially dark colors like black. That is why you clean and polish.
Waxing on top of wax is ok if you processed the surfaces within the past 3 months.
I clean, polish and wax every 3 months. I apply additional coats of wax monthly.
Your car always shows how it's been taken care.
