Somebody help, my car gets dirty soo fast.

I recently purchased a Black Obisidian G35. It is my first time owning a black car. After washing it for the first time, I went inside for about 15 minutes, came back outisde and realized my car is dirty again. Not as bad as it was before, but its starting to get dirty again. I use proper washing techniques. I just want to be able to keep my car clean Can anybody tell me how I can keep my car clean? I am pretty upset.

The photos are from about 2 days after the wash. Can a car really be THIS dirty after just 2 days ?

PS : Yes I do park the car outside. And I used Armor All Wash & Wax to wash the car.

Yes a car can get like that in just 2 days. Looks like some water spots & water dripping down the back from somewhere. Only way to make the clean last is a car cover. Cover ever time its parked. I cover mines when at home & work. Since your car is black, only makes all the dust/pollen in the air easier to see on your car.

Start with a complete detail. Buy yourself two things, car cover and a duster both available from wwwcaliforniacarcover.com. Duster will remove dust and the car cover will not only save your painted surface but also your interior. Parking your G in a garage is a major plus if you have one...Gary

15 minutes is about the actual length of time for a black car to stay clean after washing.

Car dusters are perfectly safe for removing dust. Don't try to dust it when it needs washed.

I would also agree with whosyourbuddy's recommendations and Gary's suggestion. If you can't garage it, cover it.

Welcome to Black. I' a first time owner of a black car too and holy crap! does this thing get dirty fast. Not fast-er really, it just shows dirt better than most colors. It also shows clean better than most colors.

Your car needs a good detail; wash, clay bar, polish and wax/ sealant. Then, when it gets dirty, it will still shine.

Not ^ if your car is clean removing the dust that has settled on the surface will not scratch the paint. Even though SLICK is kept in a garage she still collects dust which I "Dust off" before she leaves without fail!

IP color FTW.

black is pain in the behind to maintain clean.

Why not part the G in the garage?

BLACK. Terrible! I had a black xrunner truck. It was tittie sprinkles when clean, but pita to keep clean. Sold it after a year of ownership.

Someone should invent a Rain-X type product for car paint so that when it rains everything just slides down and off.

You need to read that thread by picus. Everything will make sense from there forward, I swear.
