how do i get it off

Try and get a leather cleaner/soap and it will take some elbow grease, more the longer you leave it. All of it may not come out but if you get most of it and it is really faint, the leather seems to absorbe the rest over a week. Good Luck. Remember to use a leather conditioner after cleaning.

leather cleaner should work, if not you may need to use a strong detergent and soft scrub, and then re-condition the area that you used detergent on.

liquid paper.

seriously, i've done this with a ball point pen. leather cleaner (i forget which brand) worked for me. i then used lexol right away to protect the area. it wasn't a permanent marsh pen type was it?

just kidding about the liquid paper by the way...
