this is what I usually do. Go drive the car for 10-15 minutes to air dry it, then use a fine towel to wipe down the remaining water spots.

but wouldn't air dry leave water spots? and also driving your car right after a wash is more prone to picking up dirt, especially from your tires, because they're wet, and will get all over the side of your car again.

Using a leaf blower will work but as mentioned, will leave some water spots since you washed off most of your wax with dawn. For a normal quick wash, I would wipe down the car with a water blade then use an electric leaf blower to get all the water out of the cracks.

I would not drive the car around after washing it with dawn and planning to detail/wax the car though. It will pick up more road dust that would end up sticking to your already wet car. Normally I do wipe the car down with a water blade then cloth and take it for a spin to get all the water out of the cracks and dry the wheels for a normal wash without waxing.

I use micro fiber towels to dry

then use the leaf blower to get the water out of the nooks and crannies.

Cheers, Ted

Electric leafblowers only, please. You spit out exhaust with the air on gas mowers, and can put a fine film of crap on your car.
