Cat scratches on the hood…I am so pissed!
Hi all,
I’ve had my car for a little over 3 months. My car is parked outside behind the complex (still on waiting list for my garage). There are anywhere from 15 to 20 cats roaming around the lots. It’s driving me nuts. I’ve seen them on my hood at times but for them to just shed some hair or leave a couple footprint is fine. Yesterday…enough was enough. The damn cats left their paw skid marks on my car. Not deep scratches but very noticeable. A long 3 inch fine scratch on the left hood above headlight and 3 smaller fine scratches on the right next to the headlight. Not sure when I can get my garage but as soon as I get one I want the car detail asap. How much does detailing cost and can scratches like that be totally removed? Is there a good detailer in NY? In the long island area perhaps?
I bought a liquid cat repellent spray. Hopefully that can help. I am trying to avoid a car cover because no one has one and it makes people curious what’s underneath. I am so pissed.
Thanks,

Tell him the Gsquad sentya over and he should take care of ya. Try not to drool on the Ferrari's there either! LOL Once he looks at the car, he will be able to provide you with an estimate depending on what exactly you may want (ie - just remove those scratches, remove scrathes and wax the entire car...etc etc)!

The car was a mess. He was able to get out almost all the scrates (obviously you can't remove scrathes that are into the primer...) I doubt your scratches are as bad as what the Volvo had. I know Matt will be at the car show everyday until it ends, but after that he should be in the shop. There are other peeps there, but he knows his ISH!!!

I haven't had anything done there myself, but other guys from the GSQUAD have and let me tell you, they are the best!! They typically work on Ferrari's and Lambo's and other cars for owners who are very critical and ****. Matt is as **** as they come. I attended a meet there and his wealth of info is unreal! The work he does is insane!! I actually just bought their detailing kit including the CYCLO polisher - dual head, random orbit, counter rotating! I enjoy waxing my car so for me, it will be a good investment! Trust me when I tell you they are the best and will not "sell" you anything you don't need. He would go over the entire car and ask what your preferances are. To some a quick wax job looks good, to an enthusiast, it probably won't. He will take ya through the car and determine what your goal is and then he'll tell ya what you would need to do to attain that goal! Very good guys!!
May I suggest:

It's got padding in them to avoid dings and also I guess if the damn cats jump on it it won't cause any scratch marks.
I think I have that one or one very similar. Very nice cover. I think I got mine from California Car Cover. They were able to help me select the best one for my needs. Since the car staying in the driveway, I wanted something breathable, filtered out all the dust and pollen etc. I wasn't as concerned with door dings as much because everyone in my house knows to be EXTREMELY careful around my baby!
Just remember - NEVER use a car cover on a dirty car! You will end up with scratches! I am all in favor of the red rider BB gun method of cat control!! LOL
