Water Spots!!!

Please help!

I was at work when it happened.

Apparently they were testing something out with the sprinkler system, and my car got drenched in well water from the sprinklers.

I didn't find out what had happened until leaving for the day. I come out and my car is covered with water marks! But Very very VERY harsh marks!

I've washed my car twice and did my ziano coat 3 times today... and they are still visible.

I am helpless... please.. suggestions?

Heres a link to autopia .com. It a good article on how to remove swirl marks and water spots from your paint finish.

Question question...

hope that works on windows! don't see why the ol' vinegar wouldn't. now i've got a question...what if some idiot, tried to get water spots off of his window with a greenie (scotch brite), and left some scratches...would there be any hope of repairing, or are we stuck with replacing the windows?

This helps.. I'll let you know if I do any of this. Might try the vinegar, and throw on some more ziano.

Thank you.

Actually peanut butter works great on removing tarnish stains and such, like belt buckles and other metal object. Never tried it on a paint finish but it just might work! =)

Otherwise I would go with white vinegar, has always worked for me in the past. You might also try some bug & tar remover if the spot is oil based.

A clay bar will definitely take care of the water spots http://secure.detailedimage.com/Merc...gory_Code=Clay . Clay bar is amazing and it removes just about anything water spots, tar, bugs, etc.

As for the windows, those scratches can be tough to get out, Diamondite has a three step process that can help as long as the scratches aren't too deep http://secure.detailedimage.com/Merc...ory_Code=Glass . The Glass and Surface Cleaner is amazing. It removed some dust/lint/etc that was burned onto a light buld for me. It also removed this haze that wouldn't leave this mirror I had in my house. It's foam based and works amazing with the glass polishing window towel.

Talk to the building manager and make his *** pay for a detailing job. They caused the problem, they should solve it.
