New Waxing Question???

1st time waxing, what are people using to get the wax out of all the grooves and cracks. I spent 5 hours on Saturday washing and waxing my car. I spent Sunday trying to get the "white" marks our of the grooves.

What exactly does the plastic form (to the rear of the door and in front of the wheel well) do execpt get onlined and show an white outline?

At tips on keeping/getting the wax and polish out of cracks and grooves?

I HAVE ROCK CHIPS in my hood, is it too late for clear-bra?

Use zaino. No more nasty, clumpy, white wax in the grooves, etc. Q-Tips are slow and a pain to use to clean.

exactly what west palm said. next time get zaino. just grab a dozen or so q-tips, it works just fine--and obviously better to do it that day instead of waiting and letting it dry further.

Try using an old tooth brush that has soft brissles. I've used them on all my cars without any damage(scratching).
Its pretty tough not to get excess wax/polish in the cracks. Just like the other members have said, try using zaino if it is really bothersome. I have seen some vehicles that have used Zaino products and was very impressed by their deep shine.

stuffing a corner of the towel into the groove and sliding it along works well. you can also use a q-tip.

the key is to remove the extra wax before it dries. removing the next day will be a pain. you can use a rubber/vinyl cleaner to remove the extra wax from those parts. for extra residue on the paint use a quik detailer.

if you use a sealent like Zaino or Megs NXt the amount of residue should be lessened. also try to use less wax when applying, remember only the 1/100 inch of wax that dries stays on the car, all the rest you are removing are waste only. thinner layers = less residue to remove.
