well, after washin' my car and zaino'ing, i applied wheelwax and extreme black. i must say that the claims about wheelwax are true! i was really very surprised. it's been about a week, and the wheels still look like i jus' washed 'em! i kid you not, but there is significantly less brake dust (and i'm usin' stock brakes!)!

it's really simple to apply, and wipes clean off. the only hard parts were gettin' in between the lugs and what not, but all in all a great product. i highly recommend it for anybody who hates brake dust as much as i do.

now i'm not sayin' that ALL the brake dust is gone, if you wipe your finger across the wheel, you'll get some on your finger. but it's significantly lower than before. hell, i could still see the labels on my wheels!

i also used their extreme black, and it's also pretty good. it doesn't splash up on your fenders when you drive, and it isn't oil either.

as for the auto shampoo, if you wanna use it to remove brake dust, look elsewhere. as it does get the job done, it doesn't dissolve the brake dust as well as something else would. in its defense, it is listed as an auto shampoo, and not a wheel cleaner.

all in all, i'm pretty happy with all the products (and so is the car)!

That's good news. I just got some wheel wax and applied it today. We'll see if I have the same results.

I get the same results with WheelWax. I've been using their wax for a while. Here's a great testimony...I drove from SoCal to Texas over a 3 days period under all conditions; traffic, wide open highway, weather and when I got to Texas, my wheels looked like I had just waxed them! Now, I do have HPS Hawk pads on my car which are known for their lack of great amount of dust, but I'm talking almost none! WheelWax is definitely what I'll be using to keep my PIAA's polished 5" and 3.5" lips shining in the SUMMER!

yup...
i could only imagine the dusting affect with a set of low dusting pads, like the hawks. wow, now i almost can't wait to get mine!

what i've noticed, is that the wax has a great anti-dusting effect on the face of the rim. while not as prominent on the inside, it's still greatly reduced. maybe because the outside has the clearcoat, that's what i'm guessin'. i do believe the whole "changing the polarity of the charge" thing. i've noticed, that when wiping down areas of the car, i definitely a bit of a charge also. you could feel the static on your skin.

rbull, i don't think you'll be disappointed!
