This isnt what im looking for. I want remove them, not just cover it up.

You are correct on that one. From what I read here, Removing = Profesional = $$$ though

I've had luck with Meguiar's Speed Glaze, a Porter Cable, and propel pad for this.

You have a 2005 G35, believe me its not as bad as it looks...shouldnt be anyways...

You can probably get away with spending around $150 for everything you need.

$99 porter cable. Lowes
$12 speed glaze. Meguiars
$32 for backing plate and 3 buffing pads. Meguiars

I'v been told its very easy. I'll know for sure friday.

If you still scared of operating a machine on your paint, practice on someone else's car first.

Hey let us know how your session goes on friday when you receive all your equipment. I've been considering the whole porter cable route, but my swirls right now are being hidden effectively by Z5. If the process really is as effective and easy to do as most people say, i might have to invest some money into that.

i've got a pretty beat up 96 mustang gt in black on our driveway that i'll be practicing my pc on. i've got the dual action cleaner/polish from meguiars and see how that works out. man this is gonna be fun! i'll take some pics before and after.

i worked a little bit on a chrome dipped oil pan that was neglected... easily brought it back to a mirror finish. just amazing what this can do.

The Dual Action #83 is pretty abrasive. Its probably what you need for that 96 Mustang, but I think you should start with something milder for G35. Then move to the DA83 if you need too.

yea i'm gonna be real careful... after this mustang, i've got a 99 black accord to work on and a 2002 civic si also black... that's all before i touch my car w/ it... hehe. i think the best way to go about it is always least abrassive on a small area to test and work it up?

Since its not late yet, take before and after pics!

Make sure the before pics are RIGHT berofe you use the machine (assuming your car will be shiny clean at this point). I'd be great if you do a lil video if you have a digital camera with recording capabilities (I might be able to host the vid).

My washing ritual (during the summer) is wash 2 times a month, two sundays. I wake up at 6 am and mix ZFX with Z2 and Z5 (1 layer of z5 and 2 of z2). The instructions are that after activating Z2 or Z5 with ZFX, if you wait 6 hours, you get its maximum benefit. So I wake up at 6, mix, then I sleep 2 more hours and start washing at 8. Wash with dawn then rinse then use clay bar for whole car (in light colored paint you can see some little tiny black dirt stuck to your car, mostly on the rear bumper due to the tail pipes I suppose) and clay baring removes all the dirt. After doing all this, rinse again and dry. By this time it is 12pm so that means 6 hours passed and I start applying Z2 and Z5 using Z6...

Well in a nutshell, I dedicate a loot of time to washing, that is why I want the "black challenge"
Actually you're supposed to use zfx mixed zaino within six hours not after six hours. Step 8 on the instuctons http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...ory_Code=Zaino

I picked up the Porter Cable 7336 from Lowes last night. I actually got a coupon in the mail yesterday for $10 off any item, so ended up $89.99. Very cheap compared to Meguiars version for $225

Now just waiting on the pads and speed glaze 80. Should be here tomorrow.

Don't have video capability but I will definitely take some before and after pics. Not sure if I'm going straight to the g35 or practice on my bro's 2003 RSX first.

If you buy the Porter cable from Lowes, you will still need this DA Velcro Buffing System.

This comes with the backing plate plus 3 pads. You save $18 vs. buying everything separately.

You will also need some polish to remove the swirls. Speed Glaze #80 is a good place to start.

If its not effective enough, than you can move up to Dual Action Cleaner/Polish #83

Im not sure if I should buy the Porter Cable. I had a guy quote me $60 to remove the swirls. I think thats a pretty fair price, plus I dont have any experience working with buffers. I dont know what I should do?After the buffing, I would apply Crystal Guard.

$60 does seem pretty cheap. I think the reason some people are going this route is, so they can always keep there G swirl-free without continously paying a detailer to do it for them.

After they remove the swirls you should be ready for the crystal guard.
