Leather Question

I just got my G and the Florida heat seems to kill my leather. Whats the best treatment? Are Wipes a bad idea. Also how do u clean the giant rubber seals that trim the doors. Thanks alot. Big L

For the rubber trim seals I use a rubber treatment like Autoglym Vinyl and rubber care, or Sonus Total eclipse.
For cleaning and protecting leather I swear by Sonus Leather Cleaner and Sonus leather protector. It cleans the leather very thoroughly and easily. To clean use the SFX pro applicator (Yellow side) (Wipe on wipe off). No rinsing needed. The next step would be to apply the protect-ant.(use the black side) This also just wipes on but no need to wipe off. Let it set for 20 minutes before using.

Here are the links for the products.

I noticed the Infiniti manual recommends saddle soap for leather care. Does anyone use it to care for the interior?

I highly recomend Zaino's leather cleaner Z-9 and Leather in a Bottle Z-10 .

It makes the leather feel and smell soooooooo good!

You may purchase it directly from above links or call find a local distributor in your area.

If you live in California, I highly recomend http://www.lazaino.com/. They're the best!

Unfortunately it is not available at the nationwide retailers (Autozone, Pep Boys, etc).

If you search for "leather Zaino" you'll see quite a few happy customers.

I love Zaino's leather care, great smell and seems to condition well. Ive used it in all my cars and the leather looks as good as the day I got it.

I also like Zaino's (forget the #) tire/trim dressing for the door seals and rubber. I also use Aerospace 303 protectant on outside black trim and door seals.

I second Lexol leather cleaner

I've used lexol on my G and last three cars and my two motorcycles and find it works very well.

Saddle soap works but it's a pain in the butt compared to lexol. It takes a long time to soak in and it's quite messy.

Zaino for leather works amazing.

303 protectant works great for rubber/vinyl trim and dash.
