Question Windshield issue

I had my hood repainted and when I picked up the car I noticed some overspray on the windshield. After I cleaned the windshield with some gasoline, and then some Mothers cleaner/polish, I got all the visible overspray off. But now when the car heads towards the sun, it looks like there are a million little specs across the windshield! Could this be overspray still that can't be seen from the outside of the car? Or did I damage the glass somehow?

More than likely you didn't create these specs from your cleaning atleast. I would recommend bringing it back to whoever painted it and ask them to take care of it. It's certainly reasonable to not expect paint on your windshield when your getting work done.
