Re: Crystal Guard Longevity pics

yeah im not sure about mixing waxes....although i think CG can bond to a fully cemented/cured polish or wax, so therefore CG would go on top of any other product that you use.

But why double wax a car.....really no point, just a waste of money, we're talking about expensive products here

Re: Crystal Guard Longevity pics

I had thought about trying to apply Zaino over my CG, but I'm just not sure that for the effort and added expense that its really going to improve the shine that much.

Re: Crystal Guard Longevity pics

I wouldn't recommend layering. Zaino is much softer and has a mich lower melting point than CG. If you put it on top, it won't really help gain any shine- and if you put CG over Zaino, when the Zaino began to melt off, you'd lose your CG coat.

Re: Crystal Guard Longevity pics

Rambo : In regards to double waxing. I haven't tried any of these cool products like the Crystal Guard or others yet (I plan to soon). With "normal" wax such as Meguire's products which I have used for several years, I have to disagree. The more times I coat the car, the longer the wax seems to last, and the softer the paint seems to be. I try to wax my G every 2 weeks. (Just a quick, light coat though)

Re: Crystal Guard Longevity pics

Hi BillR

did you put the CG right over the Zaino or did you remove the Zaino and if so how did you remove it.

Thanks
