I'd try Clay Bar first... Most people recommend the Zaino clay bar, but since you probably want to try it now and not have to wait, go to autozone and pick up the Clay Magic. That's your best bet.

Good Luck!

Clay is clay for the most part. So ya, try clay. If that doesn't work you might want to step up to an abrasive like Meg's DACP.

you mean just the one part? sure. just make sure you lube the paint well. i'm thinking you just need a mild abrasive to get that out. to do it by hand there's 3M Perfect It II Rubbing Compound fine cut which is safe to use. Or Meguiar's scratch X may be able to remove it.

Go to www.detailingdynamics.com and order "the $hit". The real name is ...I forget, it's a cleaner wax and it got its nickname because everyone who used it said it was "tha $hit" because it fixes everything!

I have a spot like that and just want to say CLAY BAR does NOT work on a yellow stain like that. I must have clayed it 5 times.

I'd like to hear more about other methods to remove a stain like that. what is DACP?

I had this too on my IP sedan. My detailer was able to get it out with clay bar and a wax... I'll try and find out exactly what products he used.

DACP is Meguiar's product (stands for Dual Action Cleaner Polish), it's got abrasives in it so it removed a fraction of the top layer of a clear coat, or in this case the clear bra. People use abrasive polish's (compounds) to remove swirls, scratches, spiderwebbing, etc... I'd only go this route on a stain if other options don't work, like clay, an Isopropylene Alcohol spray, etc...

A mild to medium abrassive polish will more than likely take that right out with a few quick passes. An abrassive polish will wear down the clear coat very slightly and remove the imperfection with ease. I would recommend the Poorboy's World Super Swirl Remover 1.0. Unless you think it's pretty deep then you can try the SSR 2.0 but it should be right on the surface so the SSR 1.0 can handle it. I had someone come by my shop swearing he used every product there was and couldn't get these wierd red dots off his hood and roof. It took me about two minutes to have them all gone and then he bought a bottle of the Poorboys SSR 1.0.

Most likely clay bar wil not take out any imperfection that is in the clear coat or primer only those on the surface of the clear coat.

it's a bug stain.........may need to wet-sand to clear it off depending on how deep it is. Take it to a pro-detailer and they'll know what to do.
