Water Spots

I'm new to the forum, and so far, the info has been very helpful. I know there are many threads already on water spots, but I wanted to get some more info. Yesterday, I washed my car. I sprayed it down first, washed it, rinsed it, and wiped immediately after with a MF waffle towel. When I took it into the garage to wax, I noticed water spots on the hood, trunk, and roof. I was so upset. I didn't think there was enough time for spots to develop. My mistake was that I live in AZ, and I washed the car in the sun after the car was sitting in the sun for a while. Could that have caused it?

After I saw the spots, I tried Meguiar's QD, and that didn't work. I even put on a coat of Klasse AIO. That helped it, but they didn't completely go away.

1. Do I need to do it a few more times with AIO?
2. Any suggestions on what I should do? I am hoping that since they weren't on there for a long time, I can get them out by hand.
3. I have read to use vinegar. Do you just spray vinegar on and leave it? Is is safe for the paint?
4. Scratch-X seems to work, but can I use it on large portions like the entire hood?

I hope I don't have to go and get it taken out professionally especially since I took all the care I thought I could when washing it. Thanks in advance for you help.

Next time you wash, make sure you use dawn (dish washing detergent - the blue one not any other one) and clay bar the waterspots. The most important thing (Im in Florida and temperature is similar) is washing at 5am in the morning. At this time, the heat isnt that high so water wont evaporate. Only use the DAWN method 1nce (not every time) as it could harm your car if used frequently. This will remove everything (every previous layer of wax you have on your car) and you will start fresh. After washing with DAWN and clay baring the waterspots, wash your car with a car wash shampoo. I hope you have Zaino from www.zainostore.com to use Z5 with ZFX and get the car as clean as it can.
