Angry First scratch....

Right now I just want to kill someone. Today I had to drive my car to class or else I was going to be late. So being safety minded I parked on the top level of the deck about 5 spaces from a blue Lotus Elise. No other cars up there except ours and the next two lvls below us are clear. Come back from class an hour later and the deck is packed. Well get to my car and as I'm grabbing the door handle I notice a dark spot near where the door meets the front fender. Upon closer inspection I see its a scratch. Look at the car next to me and what to I see. A craptastic beat up old '90s cavalier with dents and scratches all over its doors. No matter what I do the worlds most beat up cars seem to seek me out and park next to my vehicle. Anyway I took some pictures of the affected area and just wanted to know if I can fix or if I need someone else to do it if it won't cost much. Car color is Athens Blue, < 900 miles on the car, and the scratch is about 1/2 inch long. Didn't seem too deep, more like their door was resting on mine when they got out and the car rocked up and down.

I know what you mean...
You find a clear place in a lot... you come out & the G is surrounded

From the pics it looks like it can be buffed out.
Doesn't look like it's dented.

If you aren't familiar yourself, any good detailer should be able to make it look like new

The good news is that it doesn't look to bad and it should mostly come out with two simple products. Use the Poorboy's World Super Swirl Remover (SSR) 2.5 and the follow it up with SSR 1.0. The 2.5 is a medium abrasive polish that will take out the worst of this scratch and then the 1.0 will remove any micro scratches and leave the clear coat glossy again. After applying an abrasive polish you always want to wax/seal the areas that were being treated.

Ya if it's a paint transfer that will come right off with the products Punchit mentioned. If it's a chip to the metal just grab a paint matched pen at the dealer ($8), and touch it up.

. . . Welcome to the club! LOL . . . This is a prelim to life's more challenging issues, which you will definitely encounter. I trust you are able to remove the paint.
