1.WASH CAR
(CLAY BAR IF POSSIBLE AFTER WASH)

2.WAX IT WITH THE MACHINE THINGEE
3.POLISH IT DOWN

Wash car, clay bar, wash again and dry (only if time permits). Polish goes before wax. Wax is for protection. what kind of "machine thinge" do you have? If the swirls aren't that bad.

Usually my process is:

1) Wash
2) Clay if needed but I use a quick detailer (Meguiar's Last touch) as my lubricant. I also wipe off each panel as I finish to avoid the second wash
3) Machine Polish (PC 7424) with Menzerna FP2 or Klasse AIO depending on need.
4) Hand apply Menzerna Full molecular jacket and wipe off.

that's for exterior only. Interior... that's a whole different story good luck w/ it. PM me if you want if you'd like more specifics... or email me at robin@attn-to-details.com

You guys have the idea but let me just add a couple of extra things.
.5)Inside: Always do the inside first to avoid dust getting from the inside to the outside.
1)Wheels and Tires: to avoid overspray later because those wheel cleaners are NASTY)
2)Wash: Two bucket system, one with just water to rinse your mitt and one with soap. Always wash fromt he top down and move with the "airflow" over the car -NEVER SWIRLING
3)Clay: Clay your car then wash again. Still use two buckets because the clay leaves some weird broken down stuff on there
4)Polish: if your using polish, do it now
4.5)Chrome: Polish your pipes but be careful never to hit paint with that stuff
5)Paint Cleaner: Use your paint cleaner here, or pre-wax prep. I use Klasse All in One because it is a prep. and a sealer.
6)Sealer: I use Klass Sealer Glaze, allow 24 hours between applications
7)Wax: You can layer carnuba over your Sealer
8)Windows: Carefully clean your windows. Stoners Invisible Glass is the best and it foams to prevent overspray. If you are outside and its windy, just spray it on your applicator first then hit the windows.
9)Tire Protection: Carefully apply tire dressing. I hate that glossy stuff because new tires do not look glossy, they just look new!!

^^i second that on inside first---plus i'm usually sweating hard after doing the outside, so then it would just get all over the leather!

Yeah, I'm always a sloppy mess throughout the whole job but much more so when I'm on the *inside* because it gets hot in there when the car isn't on and I'm constatly working hard on every little piece I see. Sometimes I wish I didn't see pieces because I'm obsessed with making them perfect.

I should get my new shipment of Klasse SG and some other goodies (Sonus leather twins and Sonus Total Eclipse and microfibers) from Autopia hopefully by this weekend so I can do up the G and my friend can get his M3 on shine Sunday before the games. His coating of AIO has lasted him 3 months (and going) because it sits in a garage 6 days out of the week. I can't wait to see how long he beads for after he puts the SG over the AIO. He drives it so sparingly that he and I are thinking about getting that Sonus Acrylic Spritz so he can do that to get the dust off and then just put a layer of P21s over the SG every week or so.

Correct order as some people have stated wash/dry - clay - polish - sealant - wax
If you want to remove swirls and scratches you need a polish that is abrasive. I would recommend the Poorboy's World SSR line. These are perfect for anyone doing it by hand or with an orbital buffer. The Klasse AIO is a chemical polish that will really not reduce any swirls or scratches. While I'm a huge fan of the Menzerna line i don't think there polishes are very aggressive and only work optimally with a rotary buffer. Unless your good with a rotary buffer the Poorboy's line is probably the way to go. PM if you need more details on what will actually give you results not just temporary results.
