Hey guys,

I had entered a post on what I products I should get for washing my G and I got a great list from Wreck (thanks!!), just had a question on what soap ya'll used. I looked at Meguire's soap (that many of you said to get), but it said to make sure to wash the car in the shade. Thats a problem for me, my house doesnt provide me an shaded area. Do yall have any recomondations for other soaps I can wash my G, even if I have to do it in the sun.

If you have to wash you car in the sun. There is no special soap that is going to keep the car from drying up fast and leaving dry soap marks on your car. What I do when I have to wash my car in the blazing sun, I would rinse it down, move my car in the garage, wash it with soap, pull the car out, rinse the car, and drive it back in the garage and dry it off.

Otherwise I just wash the car from 7am-8am or from 7pm-9pm.

The trick is to constantly keep wetting the car down.

I recommend Meguiar's Gold Class or Zymol Auto Shampoo. The Zymol has some carnauba in it so it helps add a bit of shine.

Make sure not to wash in circular motions, only in the direction that air flows over the panel.

Yeah, wait till dusk or dawn and keep the car wet. This is especially important on black.
