30k service comming up, any reccomendations on fluids?

I have 29945 miles on my car and im gettting a 30 thousand mile service on monday. ive been using mobile one synthetic 10w-30 for my oil changes every 3k, and i have the same fluids for everything else, except my transmission only has 17k on it since they gave me the 05 tranny when i changed my clutch.

Gene lee at miller infinit of vanuys recommended royalpurple for the diff and tranny. he also recommended motul for the brakes. do you guys recommend anything else? should i change anything else? should i get new coolant? thanx for the input.

Why 10-30?

Recommended is 5-30. Engine tolerences are good so there will be no excessive oil burning with thinner oil. You'll likely have better fuel mileage with the thinner stuff.

yeah thats what i was thinking...
but i heard that usage of 10-30 is weather dependent.
i heard that if you live in extremely cold/hot(forgot which one it was) place, it's ok to use 10-30 instead of 5-30.

well, i live in la, the valley specifically, so it gets prett hot around here. and the 5 is only the viscosity of the oil when its cold, and since its warm around here i dont think ill have a problem with the 10-30.

this time i got that mobile 1 extended performance 10-30 6.50 a quart!
and since i was gettin the extended perforamnce oil i thought i would get extended perforamnce filter, so i bought that, it turned out to be 13 bucks!

for manual tranny fluid i bought mobile one 75w-90, i hope it works well.

i only had a day to buy the oil and couldnt find royal purple for the differential. so i just told the dealership to use the stock stuff, is that ok?

and coolant, i used the stock stuff

ill llet u know any difference in the shifting or anything.

You should try and find a Walmart in your area. Mobil 1 Ext Perf should be quite cheaper in the 5 qt jugs. For regular Mobil 1 it's $20.

The stock fluids are fine. Unless you're tracking/racing the car I wouldn't worry too much about "performance" fluids.
