I've had my ivory pearl G coupe for about 1.5 years now...I've been using Zaino wax products for the last year...I started Christmas time last winter...Anyways today somethin pretty cool happened...My car is 99.9% garage kept, but this week I was stuck in Philly during some snowy weather...Last night I went out to my car to see it layered in about 3 inches of snow all the way around...One thing I noticed last night is it was as shiny a car I've ever seen in that type of weather....FIgure I haven't washed it in over 2 weeks and we've had rain and snow since...Anyways, this morning I go out to begin the painful and long task of relieving it of the snow so I can make my way home...The hood was loaded with it I began to clean off the windshielf cause I didn't want to scratch any of the paint on the hood...As I was cleaning the windshield I accidentally leaned on the hood...Before I know it a 3 inch thick block of snow covering the entire hood just slides right off!!! Im talking about the WHOLE THING...I've never seen anything like it and I'm sure the Zaino had plenty to do with it...Anyways short story became a long one...This stuff is great and Ill be a user for life...

PS...I know I shouldn't have the G in the snow...It was the first time in her young life...And it'll be the last...

You can say it was Zaino that helped but I would say any good wax job would do the same thing. Nice to know nothing happen to the car paint.

I use mothers and meguires it does the same thing with the snow, as long as you have a nice build up anything will slide off. I have never tried Zaino, because meguires works great.

That is exactly why I put 2 coats of zaino before the winter, I was scared for my Gs paint as I dont have a garage for this winter. I use a brush to gently get rid of the snow and also noticed that it easly came off in big pieces. The temperature was below freezing at the time. I guess I will strip it down to paint after the winter and start applying new coats.

my car did that with eagle one nano wax too...

So, I guess the moral of the story is, put a nice coating of wax on your car during winter storms and you'll be fine. It doesn't really matter what kind of wax as long as you do it correctly I think most will be fine. Of course, I don't think I will ever find out what it would be like since I'm by the beach in southern California

I haven't had any experience with Zaino's wax but I have heard that it is a really good long lasting wax. Meguiars on the hand is a good wax as well but it doesn't last as long (3-4 weeks and you would need to re-apply again). I would use Zaino if I don't wash and re-wax my car so often.

Zaino is not a wax. It is a sealant that once applied, can last for up to 6 months so it actually cuts out on the time you normally would need to reapply a conventional wax. Of course some members put on a new coat of Zaino after every wash and that is suppose to "build up" the Zaino layers for a deeper shine. Hope this helps!

Ahh, thanks for the correction D87. I thought it contained a wax. I don't know much about Zaino products since I have never touched it, but only heard great things about it. Thanks for the enlightment .

the same goes for menzerna FMJ, an excellent sealent that last for months...but I like to layer it since it will bond to itself....added another coat today since it was a beautiful 75 degrees outside

i dont think we have Zaino aviable here in toronto. We do have Mother, and meguires, so i'll be buying that soon as spring kicks in

You can order Zaino from their Canadian distributor - they're in North York, if I recall correctly. Just type in Zaino Canada in google. That said you'll spend less just buying stuff from a local autozone or going to eshine.ca.

One of the benefits I really like about Zaino is that if your car gets attacked by bird turd, you can just wash it off with a hose and not worry about the acidity getting through to your clear coat - it's that good!

Oh yeah, and it makes your car very shiny too!
