Re: Questions on waxing!!!

You can wax it right away, yes. In fact, I'd recommend it-- protect the clearcoat and paint as soon as you can.
Now, if you get body work done and they repaint a panel, DON'T wax it until the paint can fully cure (~2 months to be safe). The paint on a new car is baked, thus fully cured, so you're good to go. Hope this helps, and happy waxing-

Re: Questions on waxing!!!

Put something on to protect it. I had asked when I bought my car if I should wax and they said "no need." But the rain was not beading up and dirt was clinging. And water spotted on the car after washing if you weren't fast enough drying it.

After reading the posts about Zaino, I decided to go that route and bought the whole batch of stuff. You won't believe how much better the car looks and how much easier it is to keep clean. Water beads up, after a rain the car still looks clean, dirt and sap slide right off with a light wash.

So, whatever you decide to do, I heartily recommend doing something now to keep up and protect your G's good looks!

one more vote - put something on it asap . . . .
that paint was as hard as it is ever going to get, before the dealer had it on the lot . ..

actually, i cant believe the dealer didnt 'prep" it for you - which often includes a quick wax job by either their guy, or a shop they send cars to before delivery . .

a friend of mine does M-Benz pre-delivery detailing . . .at his shop, he charges them - they hose the customer . . .

Yah - "Dealer Prep" - that's a joke. Dealer Prep is a wash job.

Wax it, you're fine. Don't take the dealers word for it. They want you to use their Detailing "Services."

Very cool. I would get rid of the polisher. That will only complicate things. You really don't need a polisher for Zainos. With a polisher you will actually be wasting alot of polish. Also you may actually harm your car if not used right. Just a thought.
