Clear Bra in Front of Rear Wheels

Ok so I just removed the clear bra that the factory puts on in front of the rear wheels for rock chips or whatever. After I removed it I have a lot of residue left over and am having a hard time getting it off. I have used goo gone (about 4-5 times) and it doesnt seem to be having any affect whatsoever on the residue. I have also tried heating it up with a hairdryer but that just seems to make it even stickier and harder to get off.

What else do you guys recommend trying to get this residue off? Searching revealed some people using WD-40 when removing the rear badges so I was gonna attempt to use that. What else can I attempt to get this off cuz I am on my 4th hour of just trying to get the residue off and nothing at all seems to be working?

there is this thing from 3m called 'general adhesive remover' or something. it's a spray on thing. I removed my door mouldings on my car and there was ALL this crap. Of course, the big stuff you will have to remove yourself but all the little tape/residue or whatever, just spray it on w/ that and it'll work like magic. It's what clear bra installers use on your bumper before putting on the bra to make sure theres nothing underneath. That is what you need. Unfortunately its kind of hard finding that bottle and i'm still looking myself. Good luck.

I was reading through an NSX forum and came across this (http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Miscellaneous/decals.htm) and they suggested the 3M adhesive cleaner. I dont know if this is the same stuff you are talking about but they say it works like a charm too so I think I'm gonna try some of it.

If you want to try it too check it out at Griots garage http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?SKUupsell=15900
